About Me
I am a resilient, clothing fanatical, risk-taking, curious, stubborn, queer, disabled, female artist and designer.
My Design Practice
I am a multidisciplinary designer with a passion for creating innovative, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions, particularly within the realm of disability and accessibility. My work often combines utilitarian objects with complex, ornamental artistry, striving to transform the often cold and medical designs associated with disability into luxurious, finely crafted pieces that celebrate individuality.
My journey began with a Bachelor of Design in Industrial Design from the University of Alberta and a Fashion Apparel Technology diploma from Olds College. This background has deeply informed my design approach, allowing me to blend my love for prints and textures in textiles with the structural elements of wood, metal, stone, and fabric. My designs reflect my own individuality and unique perspective, drawing from intimate personal experiences, including my diagnosis with multiple sclerosis.
Through extensive primary and secondary research, I aim to understand the diverse needs within the disability community. This research guides my creations, ensuring they serve practical needs while also being visually appealing and unique. My goal is for those who own my pieces to feel seen and understood, with designs that speak to their needs, identities, and passions.

My professional experience spans various roles, including:
Sculptor at International Mascot Corporation (2023-2024), where I managed multiple complex projects and collaborated with a team to apply creative problem-solving.
Fashion Design Fellow at Open Style Lab (2022), where I adapted garments for NYFW, conducted research, and effectively communicated with outlets like Vogue.
Cofounder/Product Designer at Hundr Vidar (2016-2021), leading a qualitative research study, crafting a business plan, and managing expenditures.
Design Consultant at Open Aspect (2018-2021), where I collaborated on business plans, product design, branding, advertising, and marketing strategies.
Design Consultant Volunteer at Design for Health (2022), facilitating co-design workshops and contributing to educational materials for naloxone training initiatives.
Founder in Startup Edmonton Student Founders Association (2022), participating in a three-month entrepreneurship training and mentorship program.

My skills include human-centered design, user research, communication, presentations, leadership, writing, organization, entrepreneurship, and proficiency in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace. I have been recognized with awards such as the Claude Lienau Memorial Award (2023), OPA! Souvlaki Student Achievement Award (2022), and first place in the 3M/Mark's Work Warehouse Boot Design Competition (2016).
I am dedicated to creating designs that not only meet practical needs but also celebrate the uniqueness of each individual. My practice is a fusion of functionality and artistry, driven by a commitment to inclusivity and excellence.
