HUndr Vidar
Project Type: Product Design (apparel/accessories)
Location: Edmonton, AB
Date: 2016-2021
Role: Cofounder and Designer
In 2016 my sister and I cofounded Hundr Vidar, a non-gendered apparel, bags and accessories brand using ecofriendly materials and unique art prints. Over the course of 5 years we designed, manufactured, marketed and sold these products at various craft shows and local businesses, most notably at the former Edmonton staple Royal Bison.
Throughout this time I continually learned and grew in my entrepreneurial skills, taking Startup Edmonton courses, getting mentorship from a recent business graduate, developing a comprehensive business plan and learning to be adaptive to whatever the business needed from me.
From a design perspective I was able to develop from creating designs based on my own desires, to learning the importance of market research and customer feedback to create the most appealing and desirable products. This process was incredibly important to my growth as a designer!

Bags, Backpacks and Accessories
Convertible bags that can be worn on your back rolled up or carry it as a tote for extra storage. Made of roll ends of either water resistant vinyl or outdoor materials. Each bag features a hand carved print and are fully lined with a water resistant nylon. They have an outside pocket, adjustable straps, and a inside swivel clasp to attach a wallet, purse or keys. Ideal for hiking or for a day bag in the city.

Apparel
Three versions of unisex bombers with two unique prints. The End is Nigh screen print was inspired by the retro King Kong patches on the sleeves and shows Edmonton landmarks being attacked by monsters. It is made of a lightweight denim with either neoprene or tie-dye sleeves. The other print, We Are All Going to Die Anyways, was a riff on another patch of the 'croke' can and was made of a white sate with purple neoprene sleeves. Both designs included hundr vidar arm patches, welt pockets and snap front closures.
